Announcing District 29's First Speakers Bureau Audition

District 29 Leaders, please distribute this message to your club members and help us share the benefits of the Speakers Bureau within our community!

Dear Members,

Has your experience with Toastmasters made a difference in your life?  Are you willing to be an Ambassador to help demonstrate and explain how the Toastmasters programs can improve not only someone's presentation abilities but strengthen their leadership skills as well?  We need YOU to be a member of District 29's Speakers Bureau!

Who should apply?  Any Toastmaster who:
  • Has reached the level of Advanced Communicator Bronze,
  • Can deliver informative and inspiring programs of at least 20 minutes on a topic (or multiple topics) of value to the public or business community, and
  • Is willing to do this with the intention of promoting Toastmasters in our community.
What should you do next?
1.      Mark your calendar.  You are invited to attend or to participate in our first ever District 29 Speakers Bureau Audition on Saturday, January 12th at the Fairfax County Government Center (during the TLI electives).
2.      Review details @ Speakers Bureau Application Process.
3.      If you qualify, please enter your preliminary application information online at the Speakers Bureau website or by going to d29tm.org, scroll down to the Public Relations section, click on Speakers Bureau and click the Application link.
4.      If you qualify and wish to audition, please

a.      RSVP today to Peggy Kimmey at peggy@kimmeyconsulting.com or PRO.Hobbs@d29tm.org - space is limited!
b.      Practice and be prepared to share 10 minutes from one of your longer specialty topics that you will offer through the Bureau.
c.       We will follow-up with you to get your Audition Speech Title and some biographical information including the kinds of topics you would like to offer and the target audience who would be interested in them.

Please encourage the participation of other Toastmasters who would be good Ambassadors for our District!

Sincerely,
Peggy Kimmey
Chair, District 29 Speakers Bureau
